With our next model I braided the front half of Monique's natural hair in a criss cross effect. The back was cornrowed going straight down. To add a little style to her cornrows I decided to add beads on the end of the hair, which were held in place with black rubber bands. The scalp was oiled with the citrus oil.
For Monique makeup I wanted to go for a Eygptian look . I used very little foudation and powder and darkened her eyebrows with a dark brown eyebrow powder. A neutral color was used on the entire eye. I used a light gold metalic liquid lid liner, along with a black eyeliner and carried the liner slightly outside the corner of her eyelids. I barely touched her eyelashes with mascara to enhance the thickness. A dark tangarine and rust lipstick was used to match her blouse.
